As the Kyrgyz people are proud of Chingiz Aitmatov, the Uzbek people love him as much as his own children. On December 12, 2018, at the solemn ceremony devoted to the 90th anniversary of the great Uzbek writer Chingiz Aitmatov, the name of Chingiz Aitmatov was named after Chingiz Aitmatov and the opening of the sculpture was held on this street.

Dean, Deputy of the Dean and professors of the Faculty of "Land Management" participated in the event. The event was attended by a group of state figures, poets and writers, Sirojiddin Sayyid, a member of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, Presidential Adviser, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Women Committee and media representatives. At the opening of the sculpture, 1year students of the faculty, who liked to read and love the writer's creative work, actively participated in the opening ceremony.
