Promotion of Convention’s Project

In the lecture hall of the Faculty of Management of Land Resources  in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republican Center for spirituality and enlightenment held a roundtable talk devoted to the promotion of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child among the students and professors of higher educational institutions.

The Dean of the faculty Sh.Narbaev opened the round table with the opening speech, and the guest invited to this roundtable , professor of Tashkent State Law University,  O.Muhammedjanov noted in his report that he participated in the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly and proposed to elaborate a major international legal instrument - "The rights of the young people" - aimed at formulating and implementing the state youth policy in today's globalization process, that he wants to take a step closer to life.

Another important step in this regard was the promotion of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. As you know, United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted in 1989. However, the rights of young people were not even considered. It is noteworthy that today, many crimes committed all round the world, including terrorism and corruption are committed by young people under the age of 30.

The head of the Uzbek government has argued that such violations are manipulated by some hateful forces, ignoring the rights of young people and ignoring their rights, suggesting that the young people have a number of suggestions for the future of the future, and today there are about two billions of the world's population and said that if the rights of the world's young people are not protected today, tomorrow the future of the world will be in danger.

At the end of the talk, the speaker asked the students to comment on the draft convention on the rights of the young people. He said that this project is a unique expression of care for young people in our country, and that the wide opportunities created today encourage all young people to work harder for themselves and serve for the prosperity of the country.

At the end of the event the students gave questions and the experts answered them in detail. The Deputy Dean of the Faculty for youth affairs  Kh. Eshova summed up the event and expressed gratitude to the staff of the faculty and students for their participation in the event.
